A rare opportunity exists for a Senior Test Automation Engineer in the Budapest office of a US based telecommunications company. In this role, you will be responsible for test automation of advanced software modules for computer vision. The focus of the role is module and system level testing as a part of CI to ensure software quality. Due to the multi-platform nature of the development, module integration and protocol testing is also part of the job. You will work closely with project management, engineering management, architects, developers and fellow test automation engineers as part of a cross-functional agile team.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Developing test specification for computer vision software
● Creating test plans for product verification and validation
● Organizing testing activities of computer vision software modules
● Automating test cases
● Developing and maintaining the automated test environment for product verification/validation
● Executing automated test cases for regression or new features
● Creating appropriate test records
● Documenting and reporting faults in the internal issue-tracking system, managing bug life cycle
● Managing tests as a part of Continuous Integration
● Working in an agile cross-functional team reporting to the team leader
You’ll need to have:
● Quality oriented and “can-do” attitude to work
● Relevant university degree
● 5+ years of experience
● Programming and/or scripting skills (e.g. Python or shell scripting)
● Experience in continuous integration (Jenkins or similar)
● Knowledge of basic IP networking
● Organization skills and attention to details
● Understanding and appreciation of the product life cycle, quality assurance and related processes
● Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
● Advanced level English (both written and verbal)
Even better if you have:
● MSc level degree in a relevant field
● 10+ years of relevant experience
● Knowledge in computer vision methods and algorithms
● Experience in agile development methodologies
● Experience in embedded system testing
● User level Linux skills and/or scripting experience
● Experience in development and/or testing for macOS
● Experience in test automation frameworks, experience with automated GUI testing
● Experience in object oriented programming (C++, C#, Java or similar)
● Knowledge of GCC (on various embedded platforms)
