About the Role:
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality IT software development and software integration projects from initiation to completion. You will be responsible for planning, executing and closing projects, ensuring they meet predefined objectives and stakeholder expectations, timelines, budgets and quality standards. Additionally, you will coordinate interdisciplinary project teams, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. You will also work closely with business and IT departments to analyze requirements and design effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and resource allocation to execution and closure, ensuring projects meet their strategic objectives, lead cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams, including external partners.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, business units, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and resource needs. Ensure successful execution while mitigating risks and managing any changes that arise.
- Monitoring: Monitor project performance, prepare progress reports, and ensure accurate documentation
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, risk logs, and project plans, ensuring everything is up to date and compliant with company standards.
- Workshops & Meetings: Organize and facilitate project workshops, steering committee meetings, and stakeholder updates to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Budget & Time Management: Ensure that projects are delivered within the approved budget, on time, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, track, and resolve project dependencies and risks in a timely manner to ensure smooth progress.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee project quality, ensuring all deliverables meet the required standards and that stakeholder expectations are consistently managed.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Project Management Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, with solid knowledge of both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with RDI projects, UI/UX project experience is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Software Development, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certifications are an advantage.
- Languages: Fluency in Hungarian and English is essential; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Jira, or similar tools. Experience with software development frameworks and tools, version control systems, UX/UI design, budgeting and KPI reporting is an advantage.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork across geographically dispersed teams.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage change and adapt to evolving project needs.
